New Year in Armenia

Day 1/30.12.2024/Arrival – Yerevan City Sightseeing Tour

 

Meet and Greet at the airport, transfer to the hotel. After having a bit rest at the hotel, we will have a walk in the pink city of Yerevan. This ancient city is 29 years older than Rome. We will start walking in the most pleasant Republic Square with Government Buildings, History Museum and Marriot Hotel surrounding it. Walking up one of the oldest streets in Yerevan – Abovyan Street – we will appear in the richest avenue in Yerevan – the Northern Avenue with many brand shops, luxurious cafes and restaurants. Our next stop – the Opera and Ballet house and the Swan Lake – face the Northern Avenue. Every winter the Swan Lake transforms into a jolly outdoor ice rink where people of all ages try to learn ice skating.  Next is Cascade Monument. Inside the Cascade, underneath the exterior steps, are seven escalators that rise along the length of the complex. There are also exhibit halls connected to some of the landings along the escalators which compose the Cafesjian Museum of Art. Then we will go to the Park of Freedom. Here the whole city seems to be at our hand. Winter Park is our next stop. It is one of the greatest entertainment centers to visit during winter. The visitors will have a chance to visit Mr. Clause, meet elves and reindeers or just enjoy the beautiful installations and sculptures scattered throughout the park. There are cafes, ice rink and slides for the entertainment for both adults and children. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan. (B/-/-)

 

 

Day 2/31.12.2024/ New Year Eve, Leisure Day in Yerevan

 

Breakfast at the hotel.  

On these days Christmas Markets will be in several places at City Centre (Northern Avenue, near Republic Square, Winter Park, etc.). More than 300 local artisans will be showcasing their products – Christmas gifts and souvenirs, silverware, games and toys, food and beverages, and much-much more. Markets like these are an entire island of entertainment. Aside from shopping, there will be Santa’s House, photoshoot booths, movie viewing platforms, shows and live concerts. You can roam around the city and enjoy the festive mood of the city. You can celebrate New Year at the Republic Square with thousands of locals! It is one of the most important celebrations of the year for Armenians and the entire city glows with a festive vibe. No one will seem like a stranger that day; people share love and joyful experiences together. Also, Yerevan’s night life is vibrant and always fun! Jazz clubs, pubs, bars, discos – anything you wish can be found here. From live bands to energetic local DJ’s – the music scene in Yerevan will make your visit unforgettable.  The Republic Square will shine and light on New Year's Eve with all the beautiful fireworks, singing and dancing of all people from all over the world. Day 3/01.01.2025/ Yerevan – Lake Sevan – Tsaghkadzor – Yerevan

 

After breakfast at the hotel (09:00), we will drive to Lake Sevan, the pearl of our mountainous country and one of the largest freshwater high-altitude lakes in Eurasia. See Sevanavank monastic complex, located on the peninsula, overlooking the whole beauty of the lake. Currently a religious seminary functions here which is not readily open to the public.  After driving to ski resort Tsaghkadzor enjoying the winter scenery there and the brightly shining snow. Then we will visit a beautiful monastery called Kecharis. It is a medieval mon astery complex build in the early – mid ages nearly in the 1050s. It includes 4 churches, courtyard, 2 chapels and many khachkars (cross stones). It’s a perfect place for thinking about life, nature and everything.  Skiing and snowboarding in the high mountains has never been as attractive as that is in Tsaghkadzor. The mountains in Tsaghkadzor are an ideal place for skiing and snowboarding for both beginners and amateur sportsmen. The beginners will have an instructor to help them. And the 2900 meters ropeway will make you feel in the air high above the half white, half brown trees, and snow-white rocks and mountains, and the modern handmade sights of attraction, and will make you fully enjoy your vacation, forgetting all the troubles in the world. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan. Day 4/02.01.2025/ Yerevan – Dilijan – Lake Parz – Ijevan – Yell extreme Park - Yerevan 

 

After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Dilijan to enjoy the 19th century appearance of the town. This wonderfully forested region is rich in mineral waters. Some of them are compared with Wichi in France and Davos in Switzerland. Dilijan is “the Switzerland of Armenia.” Our next stop will be Lake Parz, which formed by springs. The length is 300 m, the width – 100 m. Average depth is 3 m, approximate – 10 m.  The lake is surrounded by forests. Water in the lake is transparent, a little greenish. As the forests are very close to the shoreline, the massive trees, leaning to the lake, are reflected in the water. The name “Parz lich” literally means “clear lake”. After we will drive to Ijevan, Yenokavan village is an ideal solution to have a rest outside the urban fuss in Armenias mountains. Near Apaga Resort located Yell Extreme Park, whichis a unique destination where people can try various activities such as zip-line, paragliding, rope park, via ferrata or horizontal climbing, zorbing, paintball, horseback riding and off-road tour by Yell Truck. Day 5/03.01.2025/ Departure
