Day 1/ Arrival – Yerevan City Sightseeing Tour
Meet and Greet at the airport, transfer to the hotel. After having a bit rest, we will get acquainted with the ancient city of Yerevan. The city earned the name “pink city” thanks to the pink tuff, which is the main ingredient in the construction of the buildings. We will head from the Republic Square surrounded by the government buildings, Marriott Hotel and History Museum; continue along the most famous Abovyan Street and through the richest Northern Avenue to get to the Opera House with a stop at the Swan Lake. Welcome dinner with dances and music at a local tavern or restaurant. Here we will try a local comfort soup among many other items. (optional*). Overnight at the hotel

Day 2/ Yerevan – Dzoraget – Arevatsag Gorge – Hnevanq – Vanadzor
After Breakfast at the hotel (09:00), we will drive to Lori Region. Lori is located in the northeast part of Armenia and borders on Georgia. The region is famous for its medieval monasteries in the picturesque nature of Lori. The rivers Pambak, Dzoraget, Debet, and Aghstev flow through this beautiful region. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful regions of Armenia. Our first stop will be Dzoraget from the view of Yaghdan, which is situated on the left part of Dzoraget, it is famous as a Greek village, Yaghdan translated from Armenian means an “oil boiler” for large-scale of oil production in the village. The famous gorge of Dzoraget gives a unique look to the village, which is difficult to pass by indifferently. We will have a walk in the Dzoraget canyon, near the Dzoraget river situated Arevatsag Gorge – Tsitsqar, this place has gained wide popularity in the society due to its beautiful views. The locals call the rock Tsitsqar. On the back way we will visit Hnevanq, on the right bank of the Dzoraget River. Drive to Vanadzor, overnight at the hotel in Vanadzor. (B/-/-)
Day 3/ Vanadzor - Dilijan – Gosh Lake - Khachaghbyur Gorge – Sarnajur waterfall - Lastiver – Ijevan
After breakfast at the hotel (09:00) we will drive to wonderfully forested region of Dilijan, in Tavush region to enjoy the 19th century appearance of the town. This region is rich in mineral waters. Some of them are compared with Wichi in France and Davos in Switzerland. Dilijan is “the Switzerland of Armenia.” We will continue our way to Gosh Lake, located on the South-west outskirts of Gosh village (2.2km), Gosh Lake with its marvelous scenery is one of the most interesting destinations for hiking, camping and jeeping tours. Visit the New Getik (Goshavank) Monastery Complex (12-13th AC), representing another amazing heritage of the Armenian Culture. The Complex was named after Mkhitar Gosh for his contribution in rebuilding of the Monastery. We will have hiking about 150m to Khachaghbyur Gorge and to the anonymous waterfall, which locals call Sarnajur (cold water) waterfall, after we will visit Lastiver the most favorite places for active leisure, both among the citizens of the country and the tourists. If you’re a fan of extreme new sensations and adrenaline, then the road to Lastiver is made just for you. Just imagine the extraordinary beauty of the gorge, the green forests, and also, in places, rocky hills. The beauty
of Lastiver itself is hard to put into words. Here you will find wooden gazebos and lodges where you can spend the night at an additional cost. The houses are quite comfortable and will make you feel as if you’re in one of your favorite fairy tales. Away from the wooden structures you will have a beautiful view of the waterfall, the water in the river is crystal clear. We will drive to Ijevan, overnight at the hotel in Ijevan. (B/-/-)
Day 4/ Ijevan – Aparan - Gegharot waterfall – Amberd – Yerevan
After breakfast at the hotel (10:00) we will head to Aparan, one of the prominent cities in Aragatsotn. It’s located on the Yerevan-Spitak highway. There are several eye-catching sites here that visitors should check out when passing through. Mt Aragats is one of the most iconic mountains not only in the Aragatsotn region but in all of Armenia (and the Caucasus). You’ll easily notice the mountain due to its four peaks. It has now become a favorable hiking location both for locals and tourists and holds the title of being the tallest peak in the Republic of Armenia at 4,090 meters. Gegharot is one of the treasures in Aragatsotn. It’s located about 12 km away from Aragats village in the Aragatsotn region. The waterfall is situated on the slopes of Aragats Mountain at a height of 3,000 meters above sea level and on the Kasakh River’s namesake tributary. It is really one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Armenia! Our next stop is Amberd Fortress, translated to “fortress in the clouds”, is a 10th-century fortress 2,300 meters above sea level on the slopes of Mount Aragats. Starting as a Stone Age settlement, this fortress has gone through a lot of history. According to some sources, Amberd was the summer residence of Armenian monarchs. In the end, it was captured and destroyed by the Mongols in 1236. It was left untouched until the 20th century when it was reconstructed. Near the fortress is the Vahramashen Church, otherwise called the Church of Amberd. It was built for the Pahlavuni family’s Prince Vahram Pahlavuni. The church was completed around the year 1026 according to an inscription on the inside wall of the north portal. Drive back to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan. (B/-/-)
